Yoga for a Healthy Back

The lesson is focused on eliminating muscle imbalances leading to chronic musculoskeletal pain. During the class, we will stretch the shortened muscles and activate the weak ones. The mphasis is placed on the correct execution of positions (asanas) so that they are beneficial for the body.

At the beginning of each class, we practice pranayama (breathing exercise) and introuctory exercises on the floor, which are necessary for activating the stabilizing muscles, and only afterwards we move on to standing and balancing positions. During the practice, we engage the center of the body and try simple backbend positions. At the end of each class, we calm down the whole body during the final relaxation (shavasana).

Yoga for a healthy back is also suitable for complete beginners, nevertheless, the practice of asanas during the class is purely preventive - the class is therefore not suitable for people with acute problems of the musculoskeletal system, such as acute herniated discs, post-traumatic conditions in the acute phase, tendinitis, etc.
